Events & Gatherings

Gather, learn, and connect through agriculture.

At Ease Orchard hosts events at our home farm in Indiana and in communities across the country, bringing together veterans, first responders, families, farmers, educators, partner organizations, and supporters.

Our events create space for sustainable agriculture education, farm business learning, peer connection, resilience, and practical conversations about the role of veterans and first responders in agriculture.

What to know before you attend

Many of our in-person events are held outdoors and may be weather-dependent. Please check the event calendar for current details, registration information, directions, and any updates before attending.

We also host virtual learning opportunities throughout the year, including webinars, farmer conversations, partner presentations, and practical sessions on agriculture, farm business, resilience, and community support.

In-Person Events

Farm gatherings, workshops, regional events, and partner-supported learning opportunities rooted in agriculture and community.

Virtual Learning

Online sessions featuring practical farm topics, producer conversations, nonprofit partners, and resources for veterans and families.

Low- to No-Cost Access

    VetFarm Network Live
What Beginning Farmers Usually Overspend On

    Thursday, June 11, 2026
    7:00 PM Eastern
    Hosted Live on Zoom

Starting a farm can get expensive fast.

Tractors, fencing, barns, equipment, livestock, infrastructure — it’s easy to feel pressure to buy everything at once. Many beginning farmers spend money on things they later realize they didn’t actually need right away.

Join us for a relaxed virtual gathering designed for veterans and their caregivers/spouses interested in farming and homesteading.

This month’s discussion will focus on:
    • equipment and infrastructure purchases
    • livestock startup considerations
    • starting small and scaling sustainably
    • balancing farm goals with financial reality
    • lessons learned from real-world experience

Whether you are already farming, planning your first steps, or simply exploring the idea, you are welcome to join us.

No pressure. No experience required. Ask questions or simply listen in.

This session will not be recorded — join us live for the conversation.

Registration is required to receive the Zoom link.
